Very easy to set up. The only problem is that I can only gradually increase the volume. Everything else is just perfect. I've tried several +$80 devices just to turn on the TV and random channels (Harmony, Fire Stick 4K, Fire Cube) and none of them work properly. But for $20, you can turn on the TV and use your phone to control pretty much everything in the controller. Ideally hides behind a flower pot.

The product works very well as an IR blaster. I bought the only IR version before. But for some reason the new IR/RF model (this one) works just as well as an IR blaster as the old model and I can't use it with my RF shutters. It asks me to copy the buttons and when I press the blinds remote button to copy it, it doesn't read signals as if I didn't press anything. There is also a metal spring noise coming out of the device when I move it. Otherwise it still works like a good IR blaster.

I bet a lot of people complain that it doesn't work when their 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi are combined. It took me a while to realize that it wasn't going to turn out automatically. You need to go into your router settings and disconnect them. Rename 5GHz to something else so 2.4 can connect and then recombine after you're done. If you rename 2.4 it will break when you change the name again. After that the app sucks and it took a few tries to figure out how to get it to study. The text spilled over…

I didn't need to use Alexa or any other voice integration, I didn't want to control smart devices. I bought this to control many of the old devices I own (bulbs, lights, stereo, tv, radio etc) via IR. Disadvantages of this product: - Every time you use it randomly, you will get the "device is disabled" error. And that although the device is next to a WLAN router.
