The fabric material is thick and durable, the bow stays in place. However, my dog bites a little and biting the buckle broke the buckle. She wore PetSmart Top Paw collars and she chewed on them but the buckle never broke. In other words, the buckle material is more like thinner, more brittle plastic than a Top Paw collar.
