Nice canister set but difficult to open

I couldn't open any of the canisters and left them unlocked on the counter. 3 opened by themselves in the morning. Another day was needed. The largest still hasn't opened after 3 days and I don't know how to open it without ruining the silicone seal. Anyone have any tips on how to open it? I tried running it under hot water but that didn't open it.
