I ordered it thinking it would fit between the forks.

Ordered, thought it was between the plug in my truck and trailer, it's for direct plugging into the wiring. My fault for not reading the description well. I don't use it, but I'm sure it does what it's supposed to. It wasn't worth returning, it will be in my garage for several years and eventually I will throw it away.
