The instructions were rough. I think I'd be better off skipping directions and following my intuition. I'm trying to remember what the problems were. When assembling the frame, non-existent screws are mentioned, meaning a piece of metal that sticks out at the side to connect the frame parts. The support pieces aren't clear in the instructions where they go, but they go where you'd probably guess since they're threaded and the furniture has threaded entries. You will find hidden legs inside the furniture body in the zipped compartment. Before making sure that the unit actually comes with a pillow and support bar, open the back of the unit and dig around. It is there. In addition, towards the end two people help to set up the transforming chair together. Other than that, it's a cool, almost retro look. Haven't used it as a bed yet but I think it would be comfortable for a child or small person but not very comfortable for a tall adult. When sitting in a chair, a slightly uncomfortable lump travels through the center of the chair. The chair is big enough to sit on one side or the other, so it doesn't matter. It takes practice to put a chair in a bed. It's cool, but not intuitive. Overall I'm happy with the purchase, it looks great in my home office.
