Love this, especially for the ability to give it height and pivot. It was pretty stable, but I didn't want to risk it falling forward when it hit the ground, right? I didn't like the options with no straps or anything that might show up and look ugly. PLUS, I wanted to be able to easily move the TV around if needed. So I bought 2" x 15" (you can get 4" in HD) self-adhesive Velcro (I think you could also use 4" or Scotch brand - whatever you want). DO THIS BEFORE MOUNTING THE TV TO THE STAND. Be sure to start at 2 inches from the front of the base + the distance from the back of the base to the back of the furniture + how long you want the back of the floor to be. Since the back of my furniture isn't solid (it has an edge), I also went about 5 inches below the edge. So I needed about 20" x 2 from just one side of the ribbon. (You will use less for the other side of the velcro). 2nd: Cut 2 strips from just one side of the hook and loop (which you attach to the base) - in my case it was 20 inches, just the spacing you need on the base, leave the rest on the strips 3rd: Cut 2 strips of opposing Velcro to desired length on the back of your furniture - in my case I need about px.6". 4th: After making sure you have the base where you want it, line up the shorter opposing strips you just cut, remove the adhesive backing and attach to the furniture, using Make sure they line up with the top strip. 5th: Attach (press) the base plank to the furniture plank and waa-laa - you've got support. for velcro.
