I can't get over how awful this paper is to work with when using charcoal. Blending is a nightmare if at all possible. The paper keeps peeling and tearing with the gentlest attempts. I've been painting with charcoal a lot lately and on this paper it was 10x harder to get a base stroke that didn't result in the paper peeling all over. It's normal for kids to use other mediums as others have mentioned, but whether you're an experienced charcoal artist or a beginner, it's annoying enough to make you give up the art. Literally everything else will work better.
