I've added a photo to show the possible length of a pixie cut for women. The top has the longest setting: XL protection and a setting of 9. The back and sides have a standard protection length of 4: medium protection and a setting of 7. All settings are listed in the booklet. I followed other suggestions in the reviews, sat with my head down and held my hair for XL protection. It worked better than trying to use them like regular clippers. Husband did the back and sides. Before doing anything, we watched tutorial videos on YouTube on how to use the hair clipper. Every few minutes I removed the guards and brushed the hair from my teeth. Today I've reverted back to longer hair as there have been a few laggards but honestly it's amazing compared to my bangs which continue to touch my eyeballs.
