This beard trimmer is great for long beards. The battery lasts a long time and it has the longest beard guard I've ever seen. The only thing that doesn't bother me is that the precision trimmer gets in the way a bit and pops out all the time. It's a good idea, but I'd rather not have it all together. I've had a beard almost continuously for over 40 years. I used a variety of equipment to make it look handmade. The Remington MB4045B is one of the best trimmers I have ever used. Trims are easy to attach/detach and the blades are sharp and efficient. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to keep their beard under control.

Edit: I contacted Remington because my trimmer won't hold a charge. They were very helpful and kind to me. They apologized for their product, which they felt was old and shouldn't have been sold anyway. They sent me a brand new non-remanufactured kit with everything in it. I bought this Remington trimmer to replace a Panasonic trimmer that lost its motor after a few months of use. Remington is much more powerful and cuts hair better as a result. I can trim my hair and beard on a single charge and still have enough power to do it about twice as fast as my old trimmer because I don't have to repeat the same thing. The first pleasure in this product has vanished after 9 months. The shaver has finished charging. Revain referred me to Remington for customer service. I have emailed Remington twice but they have not responded. The product is obviously defective, it happens. However, the terrible customer service and the "ignore and hope it goes away" approach mean I will never buy a Remington product again. Nine months is not a reasonable lifespan for this product at this price. Avoid.
