Not effective with a large protective case on the phone.
The charger works great with my daughter's and wife's phones. I have a large Otterbox that I can't use to charge my phone. It works great, just like I wanted for my family. Most of the time my phone is wired to the truck. It has been used for a long time, I believe it is a good product.
