This is cheap junk. The post has no through hole for the wire you are trying to tie. More importantly, plastic grips do not have a metal threaded ring. The threads are cheap plastic and look like they're about to snap just by looking at them. In addition, the threads only stick at the very bottom, so only very thin wires can be attached. The purpose of the connector post is to be able to attach wires to it again and again. That won't happen with these. They end up in the trash (because they were so cheap it wasn't worth the gas or the hassle of driving anywhere to send them back for a refund). I should have known better
