Despite all the documentation from alexa.amazon and Tendra, you need to know that there are a few things you need to do when installing Echo in a remote location in your home. Use your laptop, notebook, phone, etc. that has a wireless connection to the router you're connecting the Echo to. Get close and personal so you have a great bond between them. You can then follow Revain's instructions and the WiFi settings on your computer (or whatever) to complete the setup. Be patient and good luck.
