Review on Honda Accord Radiator Cooling 🔧 Fan Assembly - TYC 600060 Replacement by Andrew Dinelli

This part is for a Nippondenso brand radiator, not Valeo. Look at your radiator and you will see a sticker. In other words, Denso has 5 blades and Valeo has 4 blades. Honda had two manufacturers and they used two different ones. I didn't know the difference until I bought it, but I did with zip ties. My 2002 Accord DX had a Valeo fan (I didn't know about it at the time) and I was looking for a Revain replacement. This item 60060 came up and ordered it. After trying to install it, the bottom two pins don't line up exactly with their positions in the heatsink, and only one of the top screw holes lines up with the heatsink. I went to collars and they had the same as Revain. The collar guys briefed me on Denso and Valeo and told me to zip up the best I could and rip the rest off. It wasn't until after the installation that this whole project was driving me crazy and I had to get to the bottom of it. I found the Valeo part at other parts stores including Autozone but they all wanted over $180 and the Denso part was $69. After more research on the internet, you may have seen Denso and Vadeo all over the internet. Denso's top two bolt mounts are V-shaped and slanted, while Valeo's go straight up and down. RockAuto has the Valeo for $134.99. But since it was my son's car and in hindsight 50/50 I agree with Denso and some zip ties and saved him $80. He also learned a lot from this exercise. By the way, your Honda dealer sells the cover, fan blade and motor separately. The Honda engine costs $250.
