I have had these for almost a year now and gone through two. The first lost a screw, which would have been an easy fix and was maybe preventable if you are watching closely. On the second the wire broke as shown in the photo. It looks and feels durable and maybe I am doing something wrong. I use it everyday to hold a badge and a key. I like the resistance in the retractable cord and it can hold some weight. I really like the weight of it and the metal finish. It is the perfect size to latch onto a belt without being too bulky. Generally I think it is still the best badge holder I have used, and I have used several, but this will not be something that lasts so long you will be able to pass it down to your children.
