Review on 🌑️ Cooper Atkins DTT361-01: The Ultimate Digital Thermometer for Precision Temperature Monitoring by Sarah Nguyen

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good thermometer with high and low temperature alarm functions.

I used this to make yogurt. The milk needs to be heated to 180F and then cooled to 115F before adding the culture. This alarm worked great! I left the pot on the fire in the care of the automatic stirrer and went back to do something else while the milk heated. When the alarm went off, I turned off the heat and let the milk cool. I set an alarm to let me know when the milk is cool enough to add the culture. The alarm signal is loud enough to be heard in the next room. Also, the light flashes. Only one alarm setting can be set at a time, but the alarm has up and down buttons and a quick setting mode. The alarm temperature is easy to set. The only thing I really didn't like was that the display is always on and there's no way to turn it off. The on/off button appears to only toggle the alarm on/off. As a result, some reviewers mentioned that the batteries don't last very long. I addressed this weakness by replacing the batteries with a 4.5V "battery replacement" power supply. Also, the wire stand on the case is pretty flimsy, but the case has powerful magnets for attaching to a steel appliance or cabinet. The battery compartment uses a tiny Phillips screw instead of a finger-tight latch. This is another reason never to use batteries.
