Review on ⚓️ SEAFLO 12 Volt DC 5.5 GPM 60 PSI 51-Series Diaphragm Water Pressure Pump for Marine Boat RV Caravan by Jarom Bulles

I have had two of these pumps. I live in my van all the time and walk 98% of the time. I DO NOT recommend this product or SELLER ALTAMARINE. Here is the short version. Bought this pump in July '14. Just installed in September. For 2.5 months I was very satisfied with the performance of the pumps. After about 10 weeks it started to run poorly, gradually reducing power over several days and the engine ran continuously and would not turn on or off. The pump worked until it stopped or probably burned out as it got very hot after 5-10 minutes. After a few days of minimal use, the motor and pump stopped working. I reinstalled my 5 year old Shureflow. ALTAMARINE notifies me that I need a replacement pump as it is covered by a 1 year warranty. They requested that I send them photos of the pump installation showing the plastic flex line attached to the pump. In the end, after numerous emails and negotiations for half the cost of a new pump, I received a "new" pump. After spending a lot of time installing the new device, it did NOT work. The motor runs but does not pump water. I've primed many times - to no avail. Reinstalled Shureflow, again in minutes. Contacted ALTAMARIINE, their response is "You can send us a video." If you want to try this pump, have a backup.
