The color is totally inaccurate on the "purple" It's not the royal, bright purple as shown. It's really more of a deep deep purpleISH burgundy. I bought this dress for our anniversary dinner since our wedding colors were purple and grey. I wanted a purple dress for our 5 year celebration, but this is NOT purple. It also has a poor fit, really frumpy actually. The ruffle down the side is HUMONGOUS, almost the width of the dress so it's just all this extra, HEAVY fabric hanging there. It's got a loose fit that runs large too. I'm normally a 12/14 so this should have been fitted on me, but it wasn't. I was swimming in it and it was not close to the body like the fitted look on the model. The top has an elastic and the material has a lot of stretch so I would say SIZE DOWN. For me, this didn't work. Not the right color and the fabric and fit didn't seem nice for a formal dinner. More casual. Got returned.
