I have a Garmin C330 and like most people I need something to protect my investment. I don't use a suction cup mount as I've heard that thieves will quickly identify your car as a GPS (either on the mount or in the car out of sight). Instead, I opted for a friction mount that I move out of sight along with the GPS when I exit the car. I was disappointed that the only decent protection the carrying case offers is a reasonably sturdy lid that would protect the GPS screen. The GPS device fits well in the pocket. However, I also have problems storing the power cable in it (maybe it's just me). Since the friction mount is too big for a regular carrying case, I ended up using an insulated lunch bag to carry my GPS (in the carrying case), a friction mount, and a power cable (the insulated lunch bag provides extra protection, thanks to the insulated padding).
