Review on Smiths DCS4 4 Inch Diamond Sharpening by Sean Tops

It's great for a toolbox when you need to add a sharp blade to a roughly treated blade and the knife just needs a quick blade that's "sharp" enough I've owned many diamond and stone sharpeners over the past 40 years. When you have a good pocket knife, like my $140 jackknife, do you want it to end up with a razor sharp edge? I'm talking about a very getting a good haircut even if you can't boast that you can shave your arm hair I don't usually spend enough time trying to get as sharp as possible unless I choose to take the time to sharpen with a ceramic whetstone/blade and a leather strap. This product has two problems, the stone will not grip and it is NOT safe when sharpening a KNIFE rf. And the grit isn't fine enough to get a clean edge, which would satisfy me a little. I have an old worn out diamond sharpening tool that I can't remember who makes it, 800 on one side and 1200 on the other, that worked great and allows you to sharpen the blade with a couple of clicks from the sharpest edge can get. I imagine this product has received 600 near 5 star reviews from people with much lower expectations.
