I got this 8008 a few weeks ago and it broke on the first use. I was juicing apples and then wanted to move on to carrots, but while juicing apples it made a loud pop and then stopped working together. Revain replaced it and I used the spare. This time I started with veggies, carrots, cabbage, beets, veggies and it worked out fine, but I ended up with apples and limes that got stuck in the juicer. I suspect this could work well for my purposes as long as I alternate fruits with veggies. But it's awfully expensive for a juicer if it can't just make apples or just oranges like my kid sometimes wants. Basically, you may need a second juicer if you want to puree apples. I've only used the replacement once so we'll see how long it lasts.
