Review on ๐Ÿ”Œ Versatile Reducing Bushing Adapters for Bench Grinding Wheels - Perfect Fit for 1/2", 5/8", and 3/4" Arbors - Size 1/2"-1 1/4"x1" (Pack of 4) by Tony Basler

What's new in bench grinders and how to get wire wheels working.

All I knew was that the spoked wheel was wobbly and the plastic thing that looked like the liner out of the box was needed to get the wheel turning and it wasn't worked all the time. I started researching. I've found that my mandrel is 1/2", the spoked wheels have a 5/8" bore, and both of those don't work without help ie reducer bushings. I searched for days and settled on this manufacturer because I'm a cheap bastard and don't like to buy twice. I originally used just one hub (see disclaimer) and placed the hub in front of the wheel or next to the motor. I quickly found that all three jacks were being used at the same time. Using all three hubs will make the wheel stick, taking up the sag caused by the size of the spoked wheel, resulting in a balanced wheel that buzzes like a well-balanced tire. I will be purchasing another set for my mill's wire wheel.
