These shorts may be great for the beach or for swimming once in a while but they did not stand up to use in a public pool 3-5 days per week (my daughter is a swim instructor). Even with rinsing them off after each use, the black faded to grey and the material lost elasticity and completely stretched out in only a few weeks. We even purchased a second pair hoping it was a fluke but those did the same thing. It's a bummer because my daughter said they were very comfortable.
