Review on LeakSmart Snap By Starter Kit by William Turner

I really don't understand the negative reviews on here. After three friends suffered severe water damage from leaking dishwashers and our own fridge causing a water main leak (thankfully we found it within minutes), we needed to find something to put our minds at ease. I have read of many similar systems. I finally chose this Smart Leak because: 1. Installing Snapon means I can install it myself without the extra $100 for a plumber.2. One of the few compatible with Nest, Google, etc. Not that I really plan on using smart home hubs like my lights for this on a daily basis, but it's a sign that their development team is more advanced than others. I don't have much faith in one off companies keeping the app up to date.3. All the complaints I've read were about bindings, not app crashes. Well, having set it up in less than an hour, I'm impressed. 1. The app is simple, fast and easy to understand. The sensors beep one at a time when paired (I was afraid I'd mess up all my locations) and the cues on what to do seem to come right when you need them. Your UX team did a great job.2. The clasp worked smoothly and flawlessly. TIP: Once installed on the main line, use the white swivel wrench to tighten the loop connection. That's what the instructions say. Then use their step-by-step videos. Honestly they should just have a card in there saying go to their website and watch the installation video. Well done and much easier than written instructions.3. Works like we dreamed. Place the sensor under the dishwasher, refrigerator and washing machine. It can be set to just warn me (press, SMS, plus email) or to close the main valve. Also, someone told me that some insurance companies will give you a discount if you have one of the systems. Tomorrow I will call to find out how to improve? Price. This material is not cheap. Sensors from double to triple.2. I am wondering if the latch can install both sides of the handle? At the end of the day I know if I go to work I'll know if there's a leak. And I can do something about it immediately. Don't spend $1,000 to fix water damage. These things should be standard in every residential and apartment complex.
