Review on 🚚 UnderCover SwingCase SC200D: Convenient Truck Bed Storage Box for Ford F-250/350 Super Duty (1999-2016) – Drivers Side by John Galbraith

UPDATE: I've had the box installed for about 2 years now and just in the last few weeks the box has seemed to be having a hard time keeping it in place and after investigating I found that a bracket attached to the front of the box holding a rod that snaps into a bracket on the bedside table that has detached from the box. This drawer was under the lid of my tonneau and is used to store typical pickup items such as tow straps, zip ties, jumper cables etc, nothing heavy. The box hasn't been overused and I can probably count on the fingers of one hand how many times I've had to use it. When carrying heavy items to bed or when they surface, I will put them away to prevent damage without overloading them in any way. Poorly designed for the real world, it just can't handle the vibration and impact of a pickup truck bed. It looks like the only options are to fix something like epoxy or whatever or throw the box away. $200 is a lot of money for something that has clearly not been tested in the real world. This box must be made of aluminum or similar material, or the brackets must be sufficiently reinforced. I love the concept of the box but I definitely don't recommend it and won't be buying it again! I see other reviewers had the same issue. I needed a side box that would fit under my truck's body rails so I could use the folding tarpaulin. After much research, I decided that Swing Case would be my best bet. When I first got it I was a bit skeptical about the strength of the plastic but I've had it for a few months now, I've ridden on smooth, bumpy and unpaved roads and had no issues with the plastic box and the swivel mechanism works perfectly . This was a fairly easy install, although be prepared to drill through the inside of your bed. Love the fact that it can be easily removed and removed should you need those extra inches to drag something around. It could have been a little more and a little less money in my opinion, but I would probably buy it again.
