My knees have been swollen intermittently for about 3 years and when they swell the pain is so severe that it is almost impossible to sit or lie down comfortably at all down. it happens when I'm on my feet more than 60 hours a week at work; I am VERY active at work and do a lot of hard work. I went to the podiatrist when it started 3 years ago and got 2 very high quality medical grade knee braces which helped after a few days of wearing them 24hrs but it was impossible to keep them in place when I was wearing leggings, especially when I'm working and pacing around the store all night. For about a year and a half my knee never gave me any problems but recently my left knee got CRAZY swollen and it happened on my days off - after the first really bad episode I wore braces 24/7. again to keep my knees under control but they didn't help. It was very difficult for me to get to a doctor or specialist as I work Monday to Friday from 7am to 6pm. After trying everything I could, the pain became unbearable. I broke down and bought this knee brace after reading some reviews and thought it was worth it. shot because it couldn't hurt any more than it already did. I'm so glad I bought this knee brace! After about 18 hours my knee almost completely shrank back to normal size and ALL the excruciating pain WAS GONE within the first 8 hours of wear. I also wore it to bed. I say, if you are in severe pain and you are waiting for a specialist, then these braces are worth it! It has helped me overcome the worst knee pain I have ever experienced and I am so thankful that I found this online.
