I first bought these for my 2 year old granddaughter who loves karaoke. Little did I know it was designed specifically for the car and was more difficult to use at home. As I have a family of singers I kept it for my family to use on their travels. It's pretty easy to get started with. Connect Bluetooth to your phone and select "Carpool Karaoke". Then find the station with all the interference (nothing gets through) and tune the mic to that station. Wachla! Some things -1. The microphone volume is fairly constant, but the volume of the music you're playing goes up and down. If you quit all your apps and make sure Bluetooth isn't trying to connect to a second phone, it might work pretty well. 2. If you want to use this on a boombox at home and only have a rotary dial radio you can get it to work, but finding the exact station is a bit tricky (but it is possible). *But this was designed for a car, so the voice changing effects on this mic are fun (and fun)! Treble, bass, robot and some others. One even sounds like a pop version of your voice. :) The sound effects are a bit silly but I think some might like them. All in all, it can be quite fun when hooked up properly and working well.
