I am writing this review in 2020. This purchase was intended to replace the same model I bought in 2016. This is a great phone setup at a great price. As a supplement to this basic set, I bought an additional earpiece in 2017. I would like to give a little advice to those who have this base set and need to replace it. The handsets need to be transferred to the new base as they are paired to the original base. To do this, you need to break a few phones first. Unpairing is very easy. First, make sure the extra handset is fully charged. Press MENU/SELECT and then enter *7890#. again. In the next menu you will see "Software Version" and "RFPI IPUI". Press VOLUME UP to display and select the NEXT PAGE option. From this menu select the DELETE REGISTER option. Press MENU/SELECT to confirm. Now remove the battery from the handset and wait a minute before reinserting the battery. At this point the display should prompt to pair the handset. Pair the handset to the new base station by pressing and holding the FIND HANDSET button on the base station for 4 seconds (the red IN-USE LED lights up). Now press the # key on the handset and it should say it's registering. I just transferred all three of my original handsets to the new base using this process and it worked great. Now I have a base with 5 handsets. (Note: There are no phones connected to the original base now, so I'm using it as a charging station.
