I've wanted this for a long time and finally decided. That works great. The grill/waffle plates are dishwasher safe so cleaning is very easy. There is a lot of fat in the dropper and all of the fat went straight into the cup. I was afraid it wouldn't happen, but it was great. She cooked waffles, grilled sausages, made paninis without any problems. I replaced my old waffle maker that was taking up as much space as this one and got a lot more! A really nice feature is the wide area around the waffle plates. My old waffle maker didn't have this area and the overflowing batter ran down the sides and made a mess on the counter. It's much easier to see how much batter to use and if any of it overflows it just stays on the plate which is very easy to clean.
