I usually limit my use of saber saws. Bent, dull blades and numb hands, even with a saw and quality blades, were more frustrating than helpful. Suitable for special, small jobs, but not for general use. But then came the Diablo demo carbide blades and my opinion of saber saws soared. When I tried the delimbing knife on my cordless saw, wow! Long life (blade AND battery) and much less vibration. It's also safer than a chainsaw in tight spaces. This makes extensive pruning projects much less painful. It costs more than any steel blade.
