Don't waste your money, he will die in a few months. I liked it at first because it was so thin and looked so sharp and low on my tank, but when one of the white LED strips stopped working after five months I got frustrated. Since even with a working white bar there was still enough light for my fresh water tank, I continued to use it until three months later the remaining white bar began to flicker erratically and eventually died. Marineland used to be known for quality, but apparently something went wrong with quality control. Your lights will still look sharp but won't last long. And I've also experienced the sudden clock resets described by other reviewers, not to mention the inconvenience where after a second long surge of power the clock resets and you had to reset for a few minutes.
