Works on Linux Mint 17.2 64-bit and Asuz Z97 MK 2 motherboard Detected and copied from multiple 3.5" SATA hard drives and laptops. A laptop NTFS hard drive gave an error that Windows did not close it properly. I was able to read and copy files from that drive by mounting it read-only using the following commands in the Linux terminal: sudo mkdir /usr/mntsudo mount -r /dev/sdd2 /usr/mnt I was then able to view the contents of the drive with this command: sudo ls -l /usr/mnt After mounting the drive, I used a Linux GUI file manager (Nemo) to copy and paste files from /usr/mnt to the drive's internal RAID array. was not yet able to recognize a Western Digital 120GB WD1200 IDE drive manufactured in 2002. I've tried using a different IDE cable with no success. I have sent a request to Startech Technical Support and am waiting for a response. While the dock's work is accomplished.
