I think this works well for others, but it didn't work for me on my large Exo Terra aquarium. The problem is with the tab that secures the bracket to the top of the gas cap. If you try to screw it in tight enough, the slightest pressure will push the retainer out of the lid. I bought this to try and fix the heat lamps because nothing would keep my cat from the lizard tank and I was afraid she would smash the hot lamp domes to the ground. But the way that bracket is attached to the tank, the whole thing will collapse if the cat jumps in there, which will cause more safety issues than before. I just have to wait and hope the cat hasn't set everything on fire in the meantime. It's a shame, because otherwise it would have worked great.
