Review on πŸ”₯ Raspberry Pi Cooling Heatsink by UCTRONICS by Douglas Davis

Finally the REAL price of Raspberry Pi Rack Multi Rack

Like most people who have lots of raspberries, you might be looking for this if you have a server or entertainment rack and are tired of buying those little cases for each one and then trying to fit them on the rack or mount a shelf. in some organizational way (I've used velcro before). This is a great item that allows you to rack mount 4 Raspberry Pis and attach your raspberry to it (at least 2 screws, not all 4). I first saw this almost exact rack model on Ebay for $85 each from outside the US for a tiny piece of steel with a few offsets to mount a Raspberry that seemed overpriced. I know there probably aren't many people with Raspberry Pi clusters yet so I'm probably one of the first and will probably get picked up due to this rarity and I only have 4 at the moment but I plan on getting 4 more in the future so I bought 2 of these racks for future expansion. Like its overpriced non-US counterpart, these extra holes for /HDMI/ or other easy-to-use front ports can be used for hard-to-use side ports. Raspberry inputs. (Not included) in this rack, but I've seen filler panels and snap-in pieces to expand this rack. It's a standard 1U, fits well and doesn't overflow. I use the Middle Atlantic Sf1 cover to prevent people from tampering with it and also for the raspberry to face the opposite direction. This rack was designed with the network and USB end facing out, but I like to see the activity lights on the front. So I installed it in the opposite direction so I can see if the raspberry is working hard, and it also makes the SD card much easier to access when changing operating systems or using it with a lot of image drives. I doubt there's any difference between this shelf and one from outside the US for $85, other than that's the REAL price for a very small shelf, not even 5 inches deep, and there's probably a lot of shipping , I loved this shelf, it's just what I need, now I can just buy a bare Raspberry's (kits are no longer available) without a case, mount it neatly in the rack and plug it in. Once purchased, you will need a multifunctional power supply to power them all. I'll post some pics as I use it, but be aware that the Middle Atlantic SF1 (it's a vented cap that sticks out) isn't included, it's just my personal preference for looks and safety (to remind myself to remember that something is installed there ), they are installed in reverse order, so I can only see the Raspberry activity lights through the covers. If I had known I was going to write this review I would have snapped a photo sooner. I mounted it in a luggage rack so it's almost impossible to see them there the way I installed it. My shoe is actually also inserted into the side pockets of my luggage rack, to each of them they are connected by HDMI cables that go up. to an HDMI multi-switch for those rigs where headless work doesn't work and you need to see what's going on. It's tight to connect full size HDMI cables, 4 of them on 1 stand (but that's just a clumsy raspberry design with an HDMI connector on the side), I have an old Raspberry Pis 3 and older, not the new ones . With mini HDMI ports that work much better in these stands, it's difficult to plug the power cord into each and then the HDMI port and pull the whole thing tight or I'd pull it out and take a picture. I am very thankful that I found this seller, it was pure coincidence, I wanted to buy an overpriced item outside the US, then suddenly I found this item on the list and bought 2 cheaper than 1 of them didn't even think about it. It's a must if you have a lot of these, really nothing to think about, there really isn't much to choose from, they all look the same. If you have a rack and a bunch of these devices, just plug them into your KVM and never buy those little cases again. As you can see what used to be a bunch of little boxes attached with wires to the sides is now neat and almost hidden, nobody will even know there is room for 8 of them, nothing but lights, to show that they work . If this seller gets a 3U side-mount version that looks like a blade server rack that holds 12 Raspberry Pis and sells it for less than $100 versus $250 on eBay, I'd be on the lookout for that too hold up but i'm still a raspberry light weight in just 4 It works for me now. Very happy with it
