I did a little research before buying to try and save money. First off, it's about $10 a gallon cheaper than other major brands and does the job just as well in my opinion. Mercury has a very basic warranty, almost worthless if you ask me, a year and you have to use their oil. The first season I spent about 18 hours on my engine. I think they will trust their product more, but that's another story for another time. I have complete confidence in my father's 'Pennzoil' motor oil and now his 2-stroke oil. I also love that they come in 1 gallon plastic containers for easy storage, I even carry an extra gallon on my boat. If you've ever run out of water, you might appreciate having a supply on board.
