I like not to have a case while I wear it. The glass rear panel is a nice touch. Mostly, I'm rather satisfied with the phone, finding it to be a lovely Apple monolith. I didn't take a chance on waiting for X because the features are much the same minus Face ID. Although I had been sure that a "one-handed" phone was required, I got acclimated to the Plus's larger size after just one day of use because to its excellent camera (the portrait photography mode was especially appealing). The True Tone system actually reduces eye strain. Awesome, booming sound. Maintains its charge effectively. Nimble! Transferring from one device to another is a breeze. (Reluctant to release) Told you so: Inability to charge and listen to music using headphones. How long will the headphones endure now that the cables are so thin? Even if you really tried, you'll need to use both hands to operate this phone, but if you go for the "Plus" model, you probably already know that. There were no real "weaknesses"; these criticisms are only picking at minor details.
