My husband is knowledgeable about CS/EE, so he does a lot of computer work, including coding, and usually uses at least two monitors. Since we have several computers, he always needs a monitor. When it was offered, I accepted. This monitor is a pretty basic 1920x1080 monitor. Colors look washed out, which is particularly noticeable when viewed next to another monitor we've compared them to. To see if we can fix this, we mirrored the system desktop with a comparable Dell E2213 monitor. No matter what tweaks were made, we couldn't get it to display colors with great depth. The stand is mostly plastic, the only metal parts are the hinges, which are so rigid I was afraid of breaking something the first time I tried adjusting the angle when we were working with it. It's also exceptionally short, with its bottom edge protruding just 3.5 inches off the table. It is suitable for use as a data entry monitor, for example in an office or server room, but not for rich video or graphic media work. Not really recommended as there are better monitors out there for the same price.
