2 Items: 1. The faucet hole in the glass is high enough to allow 1/4 to 1/2 gallon of water to remain unused at all times. 2. No air leakage. The vacuum effect of the empty space above the waterline slows the flow of water to a trickle. I like the look of this item which is real glass and metal (except for the spigot). Also very happy with the amount of water it holds, about 2.5 gallons. Good thing you don't have to refill as often. Most Zero Water products come with instructions, read them. One part I mainly want to point out in this guide is that don't use hot water as this will break the filter and you will end up with filter pieces in your water.
