Review on WEISHI Nostalgic Long Handle Butterfly Open Safety Razor with Double Edge Blades by Melissa Harper

My old Parker 99R razor broke after a few years of use so I was in dire need of a replacement. For the price, this WEISHI shaver is second to none. It has a very solid construction and the textured handle is rougher and grippier than my old razor which I prefer. My old straight razor had a kind of spiral texture on the handle, which is more elegant, but I find WEISHI easier to hold with wet hands. It's a good weight too. The locking mechanism is firm and secure. It doesn't "lock" like my old Parker 99R, but I've never had a door come loose during use. This razor is amazingly forgiving while still delivering a great close shave when you want it. . I would say this is a great razor for beginners. I've been using a DE safety razor for 5 or 6 years now but I've never cut my face with this razor although I've been careless on occasion and have done it with Parker. - I have very sensitive skin prone to razor burn and also ingrown hairs if I trim too tight and I found that this only grit razor resulted in 0 ingrown hairs or razor burn in the weeks I've been using it . That says a lot, especially since I used to have quite a lot of ingrown hairs. Of course I'm very happy about that. All in all, I'm not sure what more I could ask for from this shaver, especially at this price point. I also see no need to spend more than I do as this shaver ticks all the boxes that were important to me. Try it and see. I think you will be impressed.
