Review on Bacon Panini Press by Camp Chef by Rain Flores

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I compared 6 of the best grill presses on Revain.com; this one ranks #4

I have purchased 6 of the best grill presses from Revain.com and have used them in my kitchen for months in a thorough comparison. This one comes in fourth - only buy this if you have a reason to need grill marks on the press itself (not worth it to me). The products I compared were: #1 Best: Kingsford KCA11 Grill Press, Kingsford KCA11 Rectangular Grill Press - This grill press is the ideal weight for holding, but not mashing, fried sandwiches, sausages, hamburgers, and bacon. The handle is comfortable and comfortable. I will buy a few more. #2: New 8" Steak BBQ Grill, Heavy Duty Bacon & Sausage Hamburger Press, Commercial Grade, Cast Iron New 8" Steak BBQ Grill - This grill press is almost identical to the Kindsford, but slightly inferior (and cheaper by two). Dollar). I found the edges less well finished and the handle a bit difficult to iron. #3: Lodge Logic LGP3 Lodge Logic LGP3 Pre-Ripened Rectangular Cast Iron Grill Press - I found this press too basic to properly toast a good cheese sandwich. Also, the pen scared me. It never got hot, but it always looked that way, even after months of use, and I found the slight stress of reminding myself that it wouldn't burn me as a negative trait. I prefer wooden handles. #4: Camp Chef 9-1/4-x-5-3/4-x-3-1/4-in Camp Chef Cast Iron Bacon/Meat Press - This press was your best bet if you're feeling that you need to build the grill lines into the press - a feature I decided wasn't worth it. Overall I found it less stable and able to hold food due to the grill lines. #5: Outset Q111 Rectangular Cast Iron Rosewood Handle Grill Press Outset Q111 - This press also has grill lines but underperforms the larger cooking version. Something at the corners of those grill lines made them reach for food awkwardly—at one point, the whole sandwich lifted with the grill press and then fell to the floor. #6: Cast Iron Steak Press and Bacon Press Cast Iron Steak Press and Bacon Press - the press was just too heavy - it squeezed whatever I put next to it and was awkward to lift and weigh. I'm all for heavy iron presses but this one just ruined the meal.
