I work ten hours a day in a hospital. INCREDIBLE SUPPORT. I've bought at least seven pairs of Salomon SCs over the years since the SC3, including a pair of GTXs. They were made in China. Unlike a pair made in Vietnam (poor quality), THIS pair has a more flexible and breathable fabric. Great arch support! The lining around the ankle is fuller, does not scratch the skin. They are narrow compared to the XA pro 3D. I order 1/2 size up for all SC versions. Unlike previous iterations, the SC 5 doesn't have a speed hoops stripe on the tongue. The lacing system is easier to tighten, hopefully it will last the life of the shoe. The small price increase is worth it!
