Purchased to improve performance in multiple games for my Xbox One (I have the very first version). As a prelude to the review, I'm providing some context for this game to illustrate the implications of adding this SSD. PUBG game, battle royale free for everyone where you fall from the plane onto the map and lead your parachute jump to the landing pad and start collecting supplies. When you log in, the boot process goes through several stages. The first is the pre-lobby, where all players gather for a game. You wait here up to a minute. You will then be put on a plane to fly over the map. You decide when to jump and guide your parachute to the right place to start looting. Since they still need a beta, sometimes they load and need to reload the game. Loading each of these stages takes time and can alter gameplay. Before adding this SSD, I got into the pre-lobby in maybe 15-20 seconds. Now I usually have 50 seconds or more to run. When I jumped out of a plane, I landed between what looked like large blocks on the ground and had to wait up to 30 seconds before I could climb in and actually see the loot. If I wasn't careful, I could literally get stuck in walls, tables, sinks, etc. because it showed up in the picture with me. This led to situations where other players with faster CPUs switched faster and knocked me out of the game, or I just had to quit and restart the game to get out of the deadlock. Finally, once loaded, returning to the game could take up to 5 minutes. My character would move when I move, stay in the vehicle when I drive, etc. My team would have to watch my avatar until I come back or just leave me due to the high risk situation. With an SSD, this restart time is reduced to around 60 seconds. I hope this wears off as the game stabilizes, but it's a huge improvement. Overall this saved me from buying a new Xbox and I have enough room for the few games I play. Worked well and VectoTech offered a free case after my purchase which I have just replied to and cannot guarantee everyone will get one.
