Best product I have ever reviewed, I recommend it to everyone!

Long chose in the internet. And the consultant in the store recommended this model as the most relevant in technical terms in this price segment (6-8k). Therefore, technically - a great option for a radar detector. Perhaps one of the best. I traveled with Karkam Stels 3+ for a long time - this is a great device. Unfortunately, this old man, after several winter falls from the sucker, died for good. Hong Kong is a good replacement for him, on the level. He knows all the cameras perfectly, he warns about low-power ones much in advance by GPS, which is often ated. Picks up any signal. There are no complaints at all in the work of the radar part - it works perfectly. False alarms only on the door in the "Track" mode (but in this mode it CANNOT not work on a weak K-signal). Unfortunately, the devil hid (for me), as usual, in the details, but this is not critical for daily driving - I'm just not a fan of the "buy and go" principle - I'm used to tuning it to my liking. But what really unpleasantly surprised - a short wire. So, this is a chic option for an ordinary driver who does not like or does not understand how to set up radar detectors - everything is already set up for them out of the box. Put - went, and everything works perfectly.

Pros
  • - good sensitive operation at a long distance. Tested on low-power (sees 300 meters) and stationary cameras (cameras on frames and overpasses sees a kilometer and a half or two). - white panel with brightness adjustment both automatic (there is a light sensor) and manual - recognition of all types of cameras and radiation - setting different signals for each type of radiation - indication of the maximum speed in this section with a camera - relevance of ates +/- 2 weeks - still current case design - Very sensitive in Track mode, reacts to automatic doors as "K-band", but weak (indicator shows 2 out of 9 and disappears). At first I was shy, then, when I realized that the signal strength was not growing, I got used to it. - Never worked from blind spot sensors from other cars (I saw the light go off when overtaking, but the taxiway was silent) - "Through" plug-adapter (has an exit on the other side) - you can plug something else into it, for example, USB charging - well tuned "Out of the box" - bought, turned on, went. - the simplest ate! I connected the RD, launched the program, then everything will be ated by itself.
Cons
  • - simple archaic menu - lack of additional necessary settings (over time, there was a need to reconfigure a lot) - turning on and volume with one mechanical twist - I don’t know for how long - The wire was not enough to hide the wiring under the torpedo panel, run it along the door through the floor and reach the cigarette lighter (Focus 2). Karkam's wire was half a meter (or even more) longer. Therefore, now the wire on the dashboard just lies with the gut and the detector lies on the dashboard. - Not enough settings. I would like to turn off the PASS "passage" mode so that it does not constantly annoy with its appearance. Yes, and in English. I would like to change the voice settings menu, more levels of brightness, sensitivity, distance to cameras. I also think that the direction indicator is completely unnecessary - instead of it, something more necessary could be placed, for example, the current speed limit on the site or the camera icon. In the same Karkam Stealth 3+, the screen was somewhat more readable. - No time settings - only factory and time zone. - Very slow and a lot of talking woman. While she finishes the whole phrase, you will completely pass the camera. It is necessary to say quickly, clearly, distinctly, and not drawn out, as with a child. In general, I turned off the woman, it’s just that it’s better to respond to signals and at the same time the talking woman does not interrupt, especially if there are sincere conversations with passengers or listening to music :) The minimum volume is enough to hear the warning trill, and not listen to what you are They say
