Construction: Buttons, LCD and pump heads appear to be of good quality although the casing feels cheap. The socket on the device I received has poor contact and the device loses power if the cord is placed at the wrong angle. Mostly just annoying, since the device is attached to the tank stand. The cable that comes with the device also sticks straight out the back, so while the device itself is only about 6 inches deep, you'll need to allow for about an extra inch of connector spacing. A place at my stand is very expensive, so that's out of the question for me. I had to buy a new power supply with a 90 degree plug to reduce play. Although the instructions state that the device is not waterproof, mine has so far survived after a few sprays without any problems. Gallons of salt water due to a ruptured fitting in the tank return line. While I wouldn't recommend repeating my unintentional experiment, it seems to prove the device is solid enough. Usage: The device does not come with a hose, so you will need to pick up an air hose before you can begin. Instructions are poorly written in broken English, key steps are missing words or pictures - don't try to use them. You have to set the time and volume of each individual dosing event on each pump, so this can get tedious if you're dosing more than a few times a day, but if you're only dosing 3-4 times a day, you can do it with ease Reprogram any pump in about a minute. Once calibrated and programmed, the dosing becomes very accurate and constant. The settings are saved even if the device is switched off. The pumps are quite loud when running - perhaps loud enough to be heard over the TV at a normal volume. In most applications, they last no more than a few seconds, so this is unlikely in most cases. However, if the reservoir is in the bedroom and you are a light sleeper, you can set the device to only dose when you are awake.
