It's hard to find a headset that doesn't look made for 13 year olds or is very expensive. This headset feels sleek and comfortable, works really well and won't break the bank. The blue glowing lights only work when the USB port is connected. Audio uses a standard 3.5mm headphone/mic jack and comes with a splitter if your device has one. It really was plug and play. To be honest, I probably won't use USB backlighting. However, I'm sure a 13 year old would happily dim the lights in the room and turn on this headset. I could not find any problems with the sound quality, both with and without USB. The microphone is clean. You may need to lower the sensitivity a bit on the device side. The microphone is adjustable. I look forward to adding this to my arsenal of cool shows and zoom calls.
