I envied those windmills on my parents' dining table for years before finally deciding to go broke. They're expensive, but they're really well designed and made. There's a clever magnetic lid on top that keeps your condiments inside but doesn't hurt or require brute force to remove when it's time to refill. Lucite is easy to keep clean and scratch resistant. The pure unbridled joy of these grinders - gears, uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuy Easy to tune, lots of adjustments from small to large and so smooth the grind seems exquisite. And yes, I feel a bit of an idiot talking about the salt and pepper grinder, but they are so good. My parents bought these over 10 years ago and they still look great and work just as well as they did when they were brand new.
