Review on 🔧 K&N 33-2470 Engine Air Filter: High Performance, Premium, Washable Replacement for 2011-2018 Dodge/ Chrysler/Fiat V6 (Journey, Avenger, JCUV, 200, Freemont) by Wayne Drakh

My 2012 Journey V6 had an oil change at the dealer and they charged about $43 for an air filter change! I told them thanks, no thanks, I'll replace myself. But. Air filters for the Journey are hard to come by - neither AutoZone nor Advance stock them. And they cost about $20 for a special order. So I thought it might be worth checking out Revain. K&N was available and the price was great, about $10 less than what the dealer wanted for a 30,000 mile disposable filter! Plus, it's washable, so I'll NEVER have to replace it. Absolutely inexpensive. The filter fits perfectly in the filter housing of the Pentastar engine. As a bonus - when I check the fuel economy with the onboard trip computer I seem to be getting between 1 and 1.5mpg with the change. At a 1mpg difference, that would equate to a savings of about 1.8 gallons per 1,000 miles, and at a cost of $3.60 per gallon, or about $6.60 per 1,000 miles saved. 5000 km of filters have paid off, and then something else. How can you be wrong?
