Small but effective
I read an article that said they should be attached to a bird feeder pole to keep the squirrels from climbing up the pole and feeding on your bird seed can. It actually works - the squirrel jumps up hard, slides to the ground and never reaches the pole. Again and again he tries, and again and again he fails. This is the cheapest drug I've found and it will save me a lot of birdseed.
