I should have known. The blue part doesn't sink completely into the water, so it doesn't work at all. Be careful, if your aquarium has a top plastic frame around the glass, you CANNOT use this product. won't fit. Just like standard aqueon tanks. Not all tanks are the same. Bad design product. I do not recommend this product. My top blue light was blue and the bottom one is always red. (I don't know what that means either, no explanation)
