When this worked, signal range and command reliability varied significantly. Especially for receivers on a different phase. Many outlets that previously did not receive a signal will reliably receive a signal. I don't have a phase shifter. The LED only lights up when the signals are repeated. However, I bought used, and it failed (stopped repeating) after about a month. .but since they must be rock hard, I have mixed feelings. I'll buy a new/warranty one to try again, maybe no luck with a used one. Also going forward, while - X10 only gives direct warranty on devices purchased from its website, resellers are responsible for warranty on devices purchased from them. (like X10 support said I was curious to buy in the future and see if I have the option of resorting to the help of a used one). I bought directly from @mazon LLC
