I was searching the market for a real bathrobe that would absorb water from your wet body. I also wanted it to be smaller than a standard terry robe so I could pack it sensibly for travel. These two requirements led me to a more affordable waffle design. I would spend more to achieve these goals, but I'm happy to report that you don't have to. Also, I got a third nice feature in the process: It's an attractive robe with a different color trim (I have navy blue with white trim). I have read other reviews that have conflicting reports on whether the robe will be large and whether or not it will shrink. I bought the XL even though I'm only 5ft 9" and about 195 pounds. We haven't washed it yet, but it's roomy enough (who needs a robe that isn't roomy?), but I don't care if it shrinks a little or not. All that for $22? It gets one of my rare 5 star ratings.
